Little Flower School is growing! We are hoping to add several classroom teachers to our outstanding faculty. We are seeking a preschool teacher, a kindergarten teacher, and one or two more for other grade levels. Our preferred candidates must have strong Catholic values, appropriate certification and a passion for working with children. Consider working with a wonderful faculty in a dynamic faith-based school. On Friday, March 13, 2020, Little Flower School received word that our students could not return to school the following Monday because of Covid-19. Although decisions related to the closure of businesses and schools developed rapidly, Little Flower was already prepared to pivot to distance learning. We adopted a hybrid approach which combines both a technology-based education platform as well as providing for traditional paper/pencil/textbook assignments and projects. Our aim was to hit the "sweet spot" of keeping our students engaged in their academic progress without putting pressure and strain on our wonderful parents and grandparents.
Childhood education is a partnership between schools and families, and at Little Flower every student and family has a voice. We listen intently to feedback and incorporate your ideas into our instruction and educational environment. We have been flexible and made necessary adjustments to make this new distance learning phenomenon effective and, in many cases, even fun!
As we plan for our August opening, we hope to be back in our classrooms. However, we will be ready for any governmental ruling concerning Covid-19 and how it affects our school. Be assured that the health of our students and families is and will be our number one priority. With God's help, the Little Flower family will emerge from these times stronger than ever!
